  5. President of the Getty Oil Company from 1947, and founder of the Getty Museum (housing the world's highest-funded art collections) in Malibu, California. In 1985 his son John Paul Getty Jr (1932-...) established an endowment fund of ú50 million for the National Gallery, London.
